Your story stays yours.
Sambaram helps you publish a wedding invitation. To do that we hold some personal details about you and the people you celebrate with. This page explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to have it removed. It is written with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in mind.

01What we collect
Account details: your name and either your Google account email or your mobile number, used only to sign you in.
Invitation content you choose to add: names, wedding date and city, ceremonies and venues, photographs, your story, music you upload, and the message you share with your link.
Payment records: the amount, date and status of your payment. Card and UPI details are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store them.
Basic usage information, such as how many times a published invitation was opened, so you can see that your guests received it.
02Why we use it
To build, preview, publish and host your invitation at its sambaram.in address, to take payment, and to help you if something goes wrong.
If you leave an unpaid invitation, we may send you one reminder that it is waiting. We never send marketing to your guests, never post anything on your behalf, and never sell your data.
03Your consent and your choices
You give consent when you sign in and add content. You can withdraw it at any time by taking your invitation offline or deleting it permanently.
Only add photographs and details of other people — family, guests — if they are happy to appear on a shared invitation.
04Who can see your invitation
Drafts are private to you. A preview link you choose to send can be opened by anyone who has it and always carries a preview mark.
A published invitation can be opened by anyone with its link. It is hidden from search engines.
05How long we keep it
A published invitation stays live for its hosting period (twelve months). After that, guests see a short note that the celebration has taken place, and we keep the content so you can renew or download it.
Taking an invitation offline hides it immediately but keeps its content so you can bring it back.
Deleting an invitation permanently removes its photographs, story and details from our systems within 30 days, except payment records we are required to keep by law.
06Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, and to nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. Most of this you can do yourself from My Invitations; for anything else, write to us.
Grievances: hello@sambaram.in. We acknowledge every request within 48 hours and resolve it within 30 days.
07Security
Your data is encrypted in transit, access within Sambaram is limited to people who need it to help you, and payment is handled by a certified provider.
08Changes
If we change how we use your data in a way that matters, we will tell you before it takes effect.
